Girlz For Impact is a platform designed by Anoual association which aims to engage civil society in celebrating the incredible contributions made by women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) in Morocco. Girlz For Impact encourages people to “give back” to their communities by volunteering to take part in STEM-focused activities and projects.
The Girlz For Impact Days initiative is a main component of the #She_Is_A_Scientist campaign, launched by the US Mission in Morocco to highlight the incredibly talented Moroccan women and girls operating in STEM and who participated in U.S. exchange programs. The Girlz For Impact Days initiative invitesall Moroccans – men and women – across the country to volunteer to take part in STEM-focused activities between March 8-20, 2023.
STEM is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
Everyone is invited to take part in this initiative – men and women of all ages and from all areas in Morocco, representing either an academic institution (public or private), an association or club, or an individual who is passionate about making a difference in their community and celebrating and empowering STEM education among Moroccan girls and women.
There are many ways to you can get involved in this exciting initiative! The first, is to think about a STEM-focused activity or project that you, or a group, can implement in your community between March 8-20, 2023. Your idea should have a clear objective that aims to enhance women/girls’ involvement in science, leadership, and social innovation. Only legitimate activities/projects and those that accomplish the overall goals of the GIRLZ FOR IMPACT DAYS initiative will be accepted.
Registration to take part in Girlz For Impact Days will be open from February 11th until March 4th, 2023, with the understanding that all events will take place between March 8-20, 2023. The earlier you register your event on the Girlz For Impact Days platform, the more time you will have to promote your event.

First, create your account on the GIRLZ FOR IMPACT DAYS platform. You are not limited to just one activity/project; you can add as many as you would like. After you create your account on the platform, you can then add one or more events to the map by providing the requested information. After you have shared the details of your event, you can choose who may attend or participate. Each event is registered separately in the same account. After the details of your event have been entered into the system, our administrative team will verify the event before featuring it on the map. Once your event is validated, you will receive an email notification with guidelines and next steps.
Your event can take many forms and is only limited by your imagination! Examples of events include: organizing a seminar or conference, hosting a series of informational talks, conducting a hands-on workshop, or taking part in a community volunteer activity.
No, Girlz For Impact Day events can be organized by both men and women. Everyone is invited to take part in this exciting initiative.
Men/boys are highly encouraged to take part in Girlz For Impact Days by organizing events that will have a positive impact on their communities. All event ideas should aim to enhance women/girls’ involvement in science, leadership, and social innovation. Participating teams are also highly encouraged to incorporate a strong diversity and inclusiveness component into their team structure and events.
If the event featured on the map is open to the public, you may attend. If the organizer is looking for volunteers or participants to help implement their event, you may contact the organizer directly through the platform to find out how you can get involved.
No. We encourage participants to work with the means that they have at their own disposal and to work with their communities to plan their events.
Mainly Moroccan girls and women, but communities all over Morocco will also benefit. The purpose of the initiative is to promote STEM education and careers among Moroccan women and girls.

After you register and our administrative team has verified your event, it will be featured on our interactive map. After which the administrative team will contact you within 7 days to communicate to you the necessary guidelines of participation in the Girlz For Impact Days initiative. Communication will continue throughout the various stages of your event.
